How to Use the Playbook Creator Dashboard

Complete your profile and add workouts from your desktop.

Written by Jordan Blake

TL;DR

  • Use the Playbook creator dashboard (instead of, or in addition to, the creator app) to upload your profile information, add workouts, and communicate with subscribers

  • Set up your Playbook profile including your story, goals, training requirements, and accomplishments to help users learn more about you

  • Upload short-form and long-form workouts directly to your app

It’s time to start building your online business! While most of our training materials walk through step-by-step instructions using the creator app, we know some of you prefer to work with a desktop computer. The Playbook creator dashboard is a one-stop-shop for setting up your profile, uploading content, interacting with subscribers, and more, all on a desktop or tablet.

The Playbook Creator dashboard is the center of your online business with Playbook.

It’s your all-access pass to create content and access resources we’ve specifically designed for your business growth. Getting the most out of the Playbook Creator dashboard is easy — you just need to understand how to use it!

How to Use the Creator Dashboard

First, go to https://creator.playbookapp.io/login to sign in with your email address (the same one you use to sign into the creator app) and log in code.

Once you’re logged in, you’ll see your dashboard has seven main sections found on the left side of your page:

  1. Home

  2. Products

  3. Content

  4. Education

  5. Social

  6. Tools

  7. Account

Each of these sections gives you further tools for your success as a creator.

Home

On your Home page, you will be able to find your sharable Sales Links (Landing Page & Checkout Page) & your App Channel deep link in order to promote your app and products to your audience.

Products

The Products section is where you build and price everything you sell. It has three items:

One Time Purchases

This is where you build and manage your one-time purchase (OTP) programs — the workouts, videos, or PDFs that make up each OTP. Once a program is ready, head to Offers to price it and add it to a One-Time Purchase Offer.

Subscription

This is where you build and manage the programs included in your subscription.

Offers

This is where you price your programs and create purchasable packages for your audience. From the Offers page you can:

  • Manage your Subscription Offers — set your Exclusive Subscription price (monthly/annual) and configure an optional free trial for each

  • Create and manage One-Time Purchase Offers — filter by All, Drafts, Published, Archived, or Free, attach one or more Programs to an Offer, and control which features (Direct Messaging, Community, Livestream) come with it

  • Click + Create to build a new One-Time Purchase Offer

NOTE: Pricing always lives in Offers — navigate here after building a program under One Time Purchases or Subscription to make it purchasable.

Content

The Content section is where all your media lives. It has three areas:

Library:

This is a complete list of your video content. You can upload your video short form clips or long form classes from the Library tab by clicking on "Upload" or edit your existing clips, add descriptions etc.

Workouts:

This section allows you to create new workouts and add them to your subscription programs or OTP programs.

The workouts section includes four sections:

  • Drafts

  • Scheduled

  • Published

  • Archived

All workouts you upload will be stored here. You can come back to this page whenever you want to edit, schedule, or add something to a workout.

You can tap on "Create" to add a new workout and select the category of content (a workout - short form clip or class - long form video).

Extras:

A place to manage additional content types and supplementary materials beyond your core workout programs, like PDFs, slides, and links.

Education

This section is dedicated to YOU leveling up your fitness business and bringing your app to the next level.

Creator Community:

Join a robust community of Playbook creators sharing their experiences and insights, discover best practices for your business, receive helps from our admins and community and hear first about new features and updates.

Social

This section is your complete gateway for communicating with your subscribers.

Community:

Your channel's community tab — where subscribers can post, interact, and engage with your content and each other. Manage posts and moderate your community from here.

Direct Messages:

This tab of your Creator Dashboard is where you can interact with your app users! In your Inbox, you will see the list of users who have messaged you and you are able to reply back with text, images, or videos.

Livestream:

Manage your livestreaming setup and schedule directly from here.

Tools

This section provides a variety of useful tools for promoting your app, analyzing your audience, receiving your revenue payouts and creating discounts.

Audience:

Search for a specific user and their email address, discover details about their subscription and billing cycle and export your subscriber list to your device for marketing purposes.

Analytics:

Find out details about your subscriber audience and OTP program buyers, active subscriptions, churn and landing page and checkout funnel conversions so you can tweak and optimize your marketing campaigns and promotion efforts.

Note: Mobile App vs. Dashboard Analytics. The Analytics tab in the Creator Mobile App shows subscription revenue only. If you have OTP programs, their sales and earnings won't show there — they're tracked in the Creator Dashboard's Analytics and Payouts tabs instead.

Payouts:

Receive detailed information about your monthly subscription and OTP payouts, potential refunds & disputes and payout rules.

Note: Remember, in order to get paid, you will need to set up automatic payments with Stripe using the creator app.

Marketing:

This section allows you to setup marketing campaigns and link them with your Playbook dashboard, integrate your Ad Tracking pixels from various platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok etc.) and verify your funnel marketing performance.

Promotions:

The "Promotions" tab lets you create discount codes and offers for your subscription plan and OTP programs. You can setup percentage discount codes or fixed $ amount discount codes and link them to your subscription plan (Monthly or Annual) or to a specific individual program.

You also have the option to set a timeframe threshold or redemption limit for your discount code - e.g. linked to a specific event (New Year's discount code - 01.31 Expiration Date).

Account

Profile:

This is where you fill out your basic information, including your name, title, and social channels, as well as upload a profile image. You may notice that parts of your profile are already filled out. If you’ve added your Instagram handle, we’ll automatically pull in your name, profile photo, and bio to help you get set up faster. You’re free to edit or customize any of this information at any time.

You’ll also need to fill out the “About” section with information about your app. Here’s a sample “About Me” script you can customize. Copy/paste and edit in a Google Doc on your desktop.

“Hi, guys! I’m [insert name here] and I’m so excited you’re here to work out with me! I struggled with my weight for over 10 years until I decided to take my health into my own hands. I jumped into fitness, and discovered achievable, sustainable ways to lose weight — and keep it off — while feeling great! Once I experienced this change in my own life, everyone asked me how I did it, and I knew I needed to help others get there, too. For the past five years, I’ve been helping people crush their fitness goals.

I’m not just here to show you workouts, I’m here to motivate you to run faster, jump higher, and strive for more than you did yesterday. With my training plans, you can expect to lose fat, gain muscle, and increase your cardio endurance. We’re in this together!

My workouts can be done anywhere, any time. If you want to level up, get some light dumbbells and ankle weights. Can’t wait to train with you!”
