Step 1: Write Your Program
Before you can make a shot list, you need to have your program fully written. Once the program is complete, you’ll be able to see all the exercises you’ll need to film.
Step 2: Create Your Shot List
Your goal is to compile a master list of all unique exercises in your program. This ensures you know exactly what to film when you head to the gym.
Option 1: Use a Spreadsheet
Copy all of the exercise names from your program into a spreadsheet (Google Sheets or Excel).
Highlight the column with your exercise names.
Use the “Remove Duplicates” function:
In Google Sheets: Click
Data>Data cleanup>Remove duplicates.In Excel: Click
Data>Remove Duplicates.
You’ll now have a clean list of all unique exercises you need to film.
Option 2: Use ChatGPT
If you’d prefer not to work in spreadsheets, you can upload your program text to ChatGPT and ask it to generate a shot list for you.
For example, you could paste in your program and say:
“Please create a unique shot list of all exercises in this program so I only have to film each one once.”
ChatGPT will return a consolidated list of exercises for you to use when filming.
Step 3: Film Everything Once
With your shot list ready, head to the gym and film all exercises on the list in one session. This way, you don’t need to re-film the same move multiple times for different workouts.
